Verizon Cell Phones has scored a deal with the late Bob Marley. Yes, that Bob Marley. While the most famous singer of reggae music in the world passed away in 1981 it seems he is still so marketable and popular among the youth of today as well the older generations that the deal was a must have for Verizon Cell Phones. Now, while he's not exactly a spokesmen for Verizon Cell Phones, his catalog will be available exclusively from Verizon Cell Phones as ringtones. Yes, this means all of his song, and yes, even if you have unlocked cell phones.
The deal was struck through Universal Music Group, the company that worked with Bob Marley during his remarkable career and who now have the rights to his catalog. So what does this actually do for Verizon Cell Phones? Well, ringtones are a popular way to accessorize ones phone as well as make ones phone different and unique from friends, family, classmates and coworkers. Bob Marley has such an enormous catalog of music and is so popular among college kids and business men alike that it will be easy to find a distinct ring for one's self amidst his large catalog.
